About the campaign
Running 10km for A Special Cause Close to My Heart! This year, I’m lacing up my shoes and running 10km to support the Montréal SPCA. For the SPCA As a volunteer dog walker at the Montréal SPCA, I’ve seen firsthand how much love, care, and dedication goes into giving vulnerable animals a second chance. Many of these dogs arrive scared, confused, or recovering from difficult pasts — and yet, with patience and compassion, they blossom. Your support helps provide medical care, safe shelter, enrichment, and the possibility of a brighter future for animals who deserve nothing less. I believe deeply in showing up for both animals and people who need us. Running this 10km is my way of pushing myself physically while pushing forward a cause that inspires me every day. If you’re able, I would be incredibly grateful for your support. Every donation — big or small — makes a real difference. Together, we can help protect animals. Thank you for cheering me on and for standing behind this important cause. Let’s make this run count! Yours, Margo By supporting the Montreal SPCA through the 10km Lachine Half Marathon on Sunday, October 18, 2026, I can help alleviate the plight of animals and enable the SPCA to continue their mission. Every contribution allows them to rescue and care for more abandoned or abused animals. In 2025, the SPCA had helped nearly 14,000 animals. Thank you so much for joining our community of animal lovers! About the Montreal SPCA – The Montreal SPCA is a non-profit organization that relies on the generosity of its wonderful community to pursue its life-saving work. At the service of animals for over 150 years, the Montreal SPCA was the first animal-welfare organization in Canada. Today, the shelter is the largest animal protection organization in Quebec, speaking on behalf of animals wherever there is ignorance, cruelty, exploitation, or neglect.
